«Summer In The Sunset» Collection
Lisa Burns
I've lived in San Francisco since 2010. I started painting in 2020 and have been painting my way through various neighborhoods and hiking trails around the bay area since then. Painting is how I connect with places, both next door and half-way around the globe. I take inspiration from the classic California impressionists as well as other contemporary artists. I paint in oils because the texture is rich, and because making a mess is great fun. In addition to all the classic nature subjects - mountains, hills, lakes, grand vistas, I love to paint the "urban jungle" - colorful street scenes, skyscrapers, or houses in the suburbs.
