A Writing Meet-Up with Faith Henley Padgett & Serrana Laure Gay


Sunday, April 28 – 5 PM - 7 PM

Join us for a monthly writer’s meet up at Sealevel. The first hour will feature writing time with a few guided prompts, and we will use the second hour to share our work and chat. 

 

All genres, styles, and experience-levels welcome! We aspire to foster camaraderie and creative connection in a safe, supportive, and inclusive space.

Serrana Laure Gay (she/her) was germinated in New Mexico, grown in New York City, & is currently planted in the Outer Sunset. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Sinister Wisdom, the North Dakota Quarterly, X-R-A-Y Literary Magazine, Silver Rose Magazine, and elsewhere. Her plays have been workshopped and appeared at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre and the New York International Fringe Festival, among others. She holds an M.F.A from Sarah Lawrence College, and teaches writing remotely and in person.

Faith Henley Padgett (she/her) is a word-worker and maker who believes in the radical and transformative powers of education. She currently advises at La Jolla Country Day School, and she has taught workshops for Poetry in America, The Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence College, Milk Press of the Poetry Society of New York, and Landline Literary. She co-directed the 2021 Sarah Lawrence Poetry Festival, and her work has appeared or is forthcoming in The Journal at OSU, The Western Humanities Review, Hanging Loose, Permafrost, and Red Cedar Review, among others. After earning her MFA from Sarah Lawrence and BA from UPenn, Faith has relocated to San Francisco, unceded to the Muwekma, Ohlone, & Ramaytush people, where she gets inky pursuing her love of letterpress.
