«Sealevel Holiday Bazaar»

December 14 – 22, 2024

Bazaar Hours:

Monday – Friday 11 AM - 6 PM, Saturday + Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM

(Please check our event calendar for any changes)

This holiday season, we’re transforming Sealevel into a cozy shop filled with treasures from local artists and makers. Our Holiday Bazaar is all about celebrating community, creativity, and the unique vibe that makes this neighborhood feel like home.

You'll find beautiful, handmade pieces perfect for gifting (or keeping for yourself!) — art, crafts, and goods that reflect the spirit of Ocean Beach, Golden Gate Park, and the Outer Sunset. It's more than shopping; it's about connecting with the people behind the work and supporting the amazing talent right here in our backyard.

Whether you’ve lived in the Sunset forever or just love visiting, this is your chance to soak up some local magic, meet the artists, and bring a little piece of this special place into your holiday season.

BROPHY BROPHY

These pictures were painted in October and November 2024 inspired by daily trips to Ocean Beach. I call this ephemeral series, Beach Wreck. Acrylic, cardboard, and brown paper shopping bags are the materials. These pictures are supposed to be used as seasonal decorations and gifts. They're not meant to last, you have to buy new ones next X-mass, like everything else. They are cheap, not suitable for framing and simple.

Chelsea Owens

I am an artist and art therapist based in the sunset, I have dabbled in many different art forms and mediums because I am curious about learning how to make beautiful things by hand. I love long projects, making things I can wear that are unique, and painting.

Cheyenne Stirling

As a photographer deeply passionate about capturing the nuanced beauty of landscapes, my work explores the intersection of memory, place, and visual storytelling. Utilizing analog film allows me to preserve moments with a richness and depth that digital photography often cannot replicate, revealing the subtle textures and emotional resonance of California's diverse terrains. My photographic journey has been driven by a desire to document not just scenery, but the ephemeral essence of a moment—the play of light, the subtle shifts in atmosphere, and the human connection to landscape. Through "California Moments on Film," I invite viewers to experience the state's extraordinary beauty through a lens that honors both technical craft and emotional depth.

Sarah McCarthy Grimm

To expand a felt sense of our interconnection with each other and the ocean is my core intention as an interdisciplinary artist. Falling within my broader "Loss Spectrum" project, the "All We Are" series incorporates a short poem from a participatory performance collaboration into abstract acrylic paintings and digital collages made from scanned medium format negatives. The poem reads, "We are all / all we are / is each other," and is my call to treat each other with more care. Each piece carries the intention that we reinvigorate compassionate action to meet the societal and environmental challenges of this moment, even amidst various grieving processes.

Suzy Kopf

Suzy Kopf is a San Francisco-based multidisciplinary artist who scrutinizes the paper ephemera of midcentury consumer culture to probe the enduring mythos of the American Dream. Through water media paintings, collages and site-specific installations, she excavates archival materials and inherited nostalgia for utopias erected and cast aside. Vibrant and pastel colors unify her work across media and evoke the built landscape of the eroding Silicon Valley where she grew up. Conscious of how much byproduct can result from art-production, Suzy strives to have a “no waste” practice, recycling materials back into her work and making her own paint.

Waves Ceramics

Hi! I'm Meaghan. I enjoy creating pottery that has a touch of whimsy, cheekiness, and occasionally, a hint of naughtiness.

My goal is to make playful everyday objects that spark a sense joy and levity. You’ll often find my work in that sweet spot where well-crafted meets silly; a blend of artistry and lightheartedness.

When I’m not getting clay everywhere, you can find me bopping between coffee shops in Outer Sunset in the morning and having a love/hate relationship with Karl.
