Come celebrate Frances England / Oscilla’s new EP, Drink Up the Sun. Frances, along with friends Sami Freeman & Jason Gonzales (Sycamore Willow), will play the entire EP live from start to finish. With influences ranging from Sparklehorse to Elliott Smith, Drink Up the Sun experiments loosely with sounds + colors + textures. Recorded in part with a handheld cassette recorder from the 70s, Drink Up the Sun straddles a sound that feels both spacious and enveloping, nostalgic and memory-evoking.
Frances England is a Grammy-nominated, mixed-media artist who has been making indie-folk music for 20+ years. She releases indie-folk music for children & families under her name, and alt-folk music under the name Oscilla. Frances hosts a monthly Songwriter Circle at Sealevel and loves finding ways of using songs to create, uplift and connect communities.
