Holiday Cards

A Watercolor Workshop with Baptiste Benet

Wednesday, December 6  /  7 PM - 9 PM (Doors: 6:30 PM)

$40 for the class + $15 for the material if you need some, read more below.

This class is focused on making holiday cards to send to loved ones, or display at home during the holidays. Baptiste will provide you with some inspiration, guide you as you draw them on postcard paper (4x6 inches), and paint them using watercolor. Beginners will learn drawing basics, color mixing, and how to paint with watercolor. All levels welcome!

Material list:

- Watercolor paper

- Pencil 2B or Micron size 2

- Brush size 4 or 6

- Watercolor set (we will mostly use light and dark green, red, and potentially indigo)

- Palette for mixing colors

- Water cup

Beginners can purchase a homemade starter set including: a small palette, 3 colors (ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow, cadmium red), a size 4 Case For Making brush, and paper. The price is really affordable thanks to a special price from our friends at Case For Making and some ingenuity: $15 for the set.

About Baptiste: I started painting in 2017, and my favorite subjects are European and Californian landscapes, as well as San Francisco houses. You can find my work in a few friends' houses around the world, or more recently at Black Bird where I sell hand made postcards that depict any inspiration I have at the moment: houses, vegetables, landscapes, animals..
